Woodland family archery session

Imagine our ancestors going on a deer hunt to feed the mouths of their family waiting back at camp. At TRIBE we want to give you a flavour of what that was like. We are here to give you the experience of TRIBE archery. The family archery session will get you shooting arrows at our woodland targets so that you can test your aim to see how good you are. You may even want to challenge yourself to see how many golden targets you can hit. But the main thing is to enjoy it, archery is a lot of fun.

The session

PLEASE NOTE: This ‘Family Event’ requires a minimum of 1 Child and 1 Adult per booking. Registration for this event closes ‘3 days’ before the event and for this event to run a minimum of 2 participants are required.

We always tailor our sessions based on the group dynamics, but as an overview of a standard TRIBE Archery session, below is an overview on how we run our sessions:

  • Safety talk which includes an instructor demo
  • Shooting arrows
  • Instructor support and guidance
  • Archery games and competitions including some of the following:-
    • Balloons
    • Dating game
    • Master Archer
    • Pizza game
    • Shooting the colour
  • Review and feedback

At TRIBE all of the equipment is provided for you and so for this session you should not bring your own bows or arrows for safety reasons. In addition we run our family archery sessions with qualified Archery GB instructors so that we can give you a safe and enjoyable experience. If you have any pre-existing injuries please let us know by contacting us before booking and so that we can help make your time with us a memorable one.

Additional information

Your child should have a modest amount of upper body strength for using an archery bow, and is the reason we have the session as aged 8+. Every participant should wear long sleeve tops, suitable outdoor footwear, no jewellery and long hair must be tied back. Please contact us if you have limited mobility and we will try our best to accommodate you.

Location

On the day you will see ‘Animal Track’ signs guiding you to our TRIBE Archery location which is about a 15 minute walk. Please visit our locations page to find out more. Should you need any assistance or have limited mobility please contact us before booking so that we can cater to your needs.

We also do bushcraft!
